Amantadine (Generic Symmetrel)

Amantadine is an oral medication that comes in the form of a capsule to prevent and treat Parkinson’s disease. You may not notice the effects immediately but after several weeks you will see the results.

It is also used to treat other illnesses related to influenza A. Amantadine can prevent and treat respiratory infections caused by influenza A. It assists in lessening the severity of symptoms and decreases the time for you to heal. Although it is not a vaccine, Amantadine is an antiviral which stops the growth of the flu virus and prevents infections on the respiratory tract.

Furthermore, Amantadine may also be used to treat fatigue associated with Multiple Sclerosis and cognitive impairment following traumatic brain trauma as well as to treat viral disease of the Central Nervous System.

It can also be used to treat side effects caused by other drugs as it helps improve your range of motion and ability to exercise.

Amantadine works by restoring the balance of neurotransmitters in the brain and increases the amount of dopamine, also known as chemical messengers, in the brain. Amoxicillin (Pot Clavulana) - Augmentin

Amoxicillin is a laboratory made penicillin that is used to treat bacterial infections. It comes in several forms including a tablet, chewable tablet, capsule, pediatric drops or in a liquid form. It’s an antibiotic in the penicillin group of drugs and stops the growth of bacteria. Amoxicillin is prescribed to treat only bacterial infections and is not effective in treating viral infections such as the cold and flu. It treats a variety of infections caused by bacteria including E. coli, salmonella infection, tonsillitis, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, skin infections, gonorrhea, pneumonia, ear infections and bladder infections. Amoxicillin (Generic Amoxil)

Amoxil contains amoxicillin which fights bacteria and prevents infection. Amoxicillin is an active ingredient that belongs to the class of antibiotics called penicillin. Although it doesn’t necessarily kill bacteria, it stops it from developing by preventing bacteria from creating walls that enclose them. These walls are vital for bacterial survival as it keeps the content of the bacterial cell together. Without a wall, bacterial cells cannot survive. Amoxil is recommended for a variety of infections including tonsillitis, sinuses, urinary and genital infections, pneumonia, E. coli, salmonella, ear infections, gonorrhea, bronchitis and skin infections. Ampicillin

Ampicillin is used to treat bacterial infections and belongs to a class of antibiotics called penicillin. It is not effective in treating viral infections. It comes in the form of liquid, capsule or pediatric drops and is usually taken four times a day.

Ampicillin is effective in treating infections caused by bacteria such as bronchitis, E. coli, gonorrhea, pneumonia, salmonella, bladder infections, ear infections, shigella, H. influenzae and skin infections.

Azithromycin (zithromax)

Azithromycin in classified in the group of drugs called macrolide antibiotics. All macrolide antibiotics fight bacteria by obstructing their ability to make proteins. It is used to treat a wide range of infections caused by bacteria including pneumonia, venereal disease, ear infections, lung infections, skin infections, throat infections, STDs, respiratory infections, tonsillitis, step throat and sinus infections. Cefixime (Generic Suprax)

Cefixime is in the class of drugs, cephalosporin, and is an antibiotic that fights bacteria in the body. Cephalosporin has similar chemical components as penicillin. It is used to treat infections caused by bacteria such as urinary tract infections, pneumonia, bronchitis, gonorrhea, ear infections, lung infections, throat infections such as tonsillitis and skin infections. Cefuroxime (generic ceftin)

Cefuroxime fights bacteria in your body and belongs to the class of cephalosporin, which is chemically alike to penicillin. Cephalexin

Cephalexin is part of the class of antibiotics termed cephalosporin. It has the similar chemical elements as penicillin. Cephalexin works by hindering with the bacteria’s cell wall formation thus weakening the wall, causing it to rupture which kills the bacteria. Ciprofloxacin (Generic Cipro)

Ciprofloxacin, also known as Cipro, is used to treat infections caused by bacteria and comes in the form of a table, liquid or ear drop. For ear infections, it is commonly combined with dexamethasone otic under the brand name Ciprodex. It belongs to the fluoroguinolone class of antibiotics and prevents bacteria growing by diminishing the reproduction and repair of their genetic material. Ciprofloxacin is used to treat anthrax, kidney infections, infectious diarrhea, gonorrhea, pneumonia, typhoid fever, bone, ear, joint and skin infections, tuberculosis, urinal tract infections and bronchial infections. Clarithromycin (Generic Biaxin)

Clarithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that kills bacteria and prevents their growth by impeding with the formation on proteins in the bacteria. It is used to treat tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, sinuses and infections of the skin, respiratory tract, ear, skin and throat.

It can also be used to prevent duodenal ulcers and Mycobacterium avium complex, which is a lung infection that impinges on people with HIV. It can be combined with other anti-ulcer medications to treat specific stomach ulcers. Clarithromycin does not work for viral medications and overuse reduces its efficiency.
